Il arrive de vouloir changer de mot de passe, et comme d’habitude, d’en vouloir un aléatoire.
Le programme pwgen est bien pratique. Il génère au choix :
* des mots de passe qui sont facilement mémorisables par des humains, tout en restant aussi sécurisés que possible : pratique pour un mot de passe sans importance dont on veut se souvenir facilement ;
* des mots de passe totalement aléatoires (plus sécurisés) : pour le mot de passe principal d’un utilisateur ;
* des mots de passe totalement aléatoires avec des caractères spéciaux (le top) : pour des mots de passe jamais écrits à la main (bases de données), ou pour le mot de passe principal d’un geek ^^).

OpenWrt is described as a Linux distribution for embedded devices.
Instead of trying to create a single, static firmware, OpenWrt provides a fully writable filesystem with package management. This frees you from the application selection and configuration provided by the vendor and allows you to customize the device through the use of packages to suit any application. For developer, OpenWrt is the framework to build an application without having to build a complete firmware around it; for users this means the ability for full customization, to use the device in ways never envisioned.

Knockd est un petit daemon qui autorise ou non une connexion à votre serveur. Pour cela il écoute les ports de votre machine et attend une séquence bien précise de connexions sur les ports que vous avez définis. Si la séquence définie est exécuté dans le bon ordre, le daemon va ouvrir le port et permettre une connexion pour un temps déterminé sur le port ssh par exemple. La séquence peut utiliser des connexions TCP ou UDP ou les deux.

Although we are not comparing apples to apples, Gentoo did out-perform Ubuntu in almost every test, and sometimes by a fair margin. It does appear that optimizing for a specific CPU can yield a decent performance increase.
Of course, Gentoo offers benefits in other areas with their USE flags and being able to build a highly customized system. The question is whether the amount of time it takes is worth the benefit, and that’s a personal choice.

En n’utilisant pas le disque local de la machine, il est possible d’effectuer des opérations complexes quelque soit l’état de cette machine. SystemRescueCD contient les applications suivantes :
* Outils de partitionnement : GParted, GNU Parted, Partimage, FSArchiver
* Outils des différents systèmes de fichiers (montage, modification, redimensionnement, récupération de données, etc, etc), dont ntfs-3g et Test-disk
* Outils réseau : Samba, Nfs, nslookup, tcpdump et d’autres..

26 Oct 09 Solucionando Problemas com o Teclado Virtual do Banco do Brasil no Ubuntu
Caso você esteja utilizando uma versão diferente da provida pela Sun do Java e utilize o Banco do Brasil, você ja deve ter tido dificuldades com o site do mesmo, visto que o teclado virtual apenas funciona na versão do Java da Sun.
Porém, isso pode ser resolvido de um jeito muito fácil em apenas 3 comandos! Os mesmos devem ser rodados no Terminal que pode ser encontrado em “Aplicativos -> Acessórios -> Terminal”
sudo aptitude install sun-java6-bin sun-java6-fonts sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin
Isso irá instalar a Maquina Virtual Java da Sun. Logo após isso rode o comando:
update-java-alternatives -l
O terminal irá imprimir algo parecido com isso:
java-6-openjdk 1061 /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk
java-6-sun 63 /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun
Execute o comando à seguir.
sudo update-java-alternatives -s java-6-sun
Qualquer problema, verifique se o nome no comando acima é o mesmo que aparece ao rodar o comando update-java-alternatives -l
