Dans le cadre de la rénovation du bâtiment, ouverture d'une Artothèque dont la gestion est confiée à un collectif qui rassemble plus de 600 artistes professionnels. Ce collectif emploie un salarié pour la gestion quotidienne, prêt de tableaux ou d' oeuvres originales du dessins à la sculpture en passant par des tirages photographiques et non des reproductions ou des estampes comme chez nous. Les oeuvres sont loués par des particuliers ou des entreprises. L’optique est aussi de faire acheter ces tableaux ...Il y a même une formule type location avec option d’achat… L’artothèque a bien sûr une espace d’exposition mais des oeuvres sont exposées dans les espaces de la bibliothèque sur des lieux de circulation. En lien avec l’artothèque, constititution d' une collection de livres d’artistes. Outre les vernissages de l’artothèque, la RkL organise chaque mois de nombreuses manifestations: conférences, rencontres d’écrivains ou d’artistes, petits concerts,…

I've seen a lot of movies over the years, and to prove I've sat through at least the first ten minutes of them I started making screenshots of the titles. Then my computer crashed and I almost lost them all. To save them for future generations I created this little website.

Using Wikipedia to Extend Digital Collections

Web 2.0 technologies offer librarians a great opportunity to enhance the authority of resources that students use on a daily basis, and to push their knowledge and expertise beyond the traditional boundaries of the library. We now consider Wikipedia an essential tool for getting our digital collections out to our users at the point of their information need. We view this as a very low cost way to enhance access to our collections, as well as an effective way to participate in the creation of resources that are used by millions around the world. We will continue to explore how we can take advantage of the opportunities that Web 2.0 technologies offer us when marketing our digital and physical collections.
